More ammonia! More!
(I still hate the smell of ammonia.)
Surprisingly, there was quite a number of people in the chem lab when we arrived...which was quite disappointing, seeing that I
was holding my unfinished mcdonalds breakfast which I bought on the way and wanted to test my skills of multitasking in the lab um, would have liked an entire place to ourselves? Privacy! Green silence! Tastebuds! Yum!
Zhihua, unfortunately, reminded me that there were little stray toxic fumes running about just waiting to poison my food and told me that double knotting my plastic bags is not going to stop the evil things from getting in, so now I'm probably going to get food poisioning and fall over and die by tomorrow for bringing my food inside. NOOOO0000ooo
ooooSo we played around with the bouncing electrons, stared at the voltmeter willing the needle to go right and fervently burned incense in glowing hopes that the voltage would increase because of our oh-so-pleading looks. Because we are such
peaceful people, we did not resort to
violent acts like throwing the voltmeter on the ground and kicking it which might have worked seeing that the needle would have spoilt and thus point permanently to 3.0V. No of course we didn't do that, whatever gave you the notion! -innocents- You must have been talking about my evil twin in a parallel universe! Yes! We completely did not destroy any of the chem lab equipment!
We decided to give up on the fourth answer nearing twelve and happily dumped all that white precipitate down the sink. Zhihua was being very protective with her zinc sulphate and copper (II) sulphate solutions and refused to let us touch them and contaminate them in our
accidental completely intended copper plating experiments! I mean like those little black pieces floating about added decoration to the plain blue solution! Really! And white precipitate which looks like jellified cotton looks better than plain colourless zinc sulphate! -nods seriously-
The traffic light and the bus kindly decided to give us a bit of exercise which we appreciated a lot, indeed indeed, only walking is a much pleasanter exercise than running where you get to, uh, admire the trees, so we would appreciate it more if they would let us just walk the next time, won't they not pretty please?

I mean, why wouldn't Elizabeth Swann choose him? WHY? (because will turner looks hotter, but is not as smart, nor as mad) ISN'T IT OBVIOUS THAT CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW IS SUCH A WONDERFUL DELIGHTFUL CHARACTER???
Qualities 101 to look out in a future prospectful husband, especially if you're Elizabeth Swann the player:
1. A love for peanuts
2. Lots of eyeliner
3. A talent in foiling enemies at the last moment
4. A fondness for talking to other himselves
5. Ingenious plans nobody else can think of
Does Will Turner look like he fulfils the criteria?
And every horny male only goes after elizabeth cause she's pretty, not that they have much choice. She's one of only two females in the movie...in which the other is a sadistic sea goddess who goes ROAR and dissolves into a pile of crabs.
Still, I liked Calipso and Davy Jones because hey,
it's more realistic than elizabeth swan and will turner's undying love! Oh elizabeth swann will you marry me while we're fighting all these pirates? you will, oh how great, let's kiss in the middle of this war, which for some reason goes on
everywhere else except in that
sacred circle we stand in! And then later, as will turner "dies", poor elizabeth sits on his side sobbing "NOO I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU WILL!" while grasping his hand (hey sounds familiar!), but of course will turner comes back to life (because no one we like can die) but is the captain of the dutch ship and thus has to ferry souls across to the land of the dead-- so ah, how sad, they can only meet one day every ten years, sob sob cry cry, "my heart will always belong to you," hands heart in a chest out to her (wow literal intepretation) "of course I will keep it well," they look at each other and she runs to kiss him as he leaves for the next ten years, awww. Where of course she will wait and not have any extramarital affairs because she loves him.
And of course anticlimax, "FIRE!" and the two ships which are on the side we support successfully bombs the ship in the middle which has more canyon guns popping out of the shipside, because of course it isn't the ship whose side we stand on, and thus MUST lose. So they have to have an evil captain who decides to blank out at the last moment, and because he fails to give a command and stands there shellshocked saying "This is just good business", everyone else cannot do anything else and will die along as well. And he
drifts, yes DRIFTS down the staircase while explosions are happening all over the ship and dies at the last moment with WOW movie effects nice fire background foreground there! AND YIPEE EVERYTHING IS FINE.
Srsly.
Oh well, it was quite a good watch considering. After all, crowd pleasers must be at least slightly idealistic, and you have to give it credit for having a dose of reality as well. Popular Hollywood movies, like life, have to have a dose of cynism and another dose of insanely idealistic romance. Who wants reality all the time!
And of course, this line:
"Our fates are already intertwined; they're just not joined." -looks at her sadly after reverting back from the evil side to her side at the last minute and opening the jailgate for her and her crew to escape, and then getting her to go first while he stays and gets killed by the evil side, which only discovers their escape right after they have all escaped-
Hey it's nice to be idealistic! Self sacrificial, unrequited, everlasting love! One love, one life!
