FUN FILLED FROLICS IN THE PARK
So the holidays have started, and I haven't gone back to school to collect my results because of the arts media camp I was at with leeqi, lena and sze yen who left on the first day. I'm not going back next monday either because I'll be away in malaysia (yes that's one and a half weeks of my holidays gone!)

Midsummer night's dream! Which involved uh a park, a sleeping bag, the moon, the night sky, quite a number of stares and a certain amount of wrongness. ONSTAGE! ONSTAGE! (though offstage wasn't that much righter either HAHA) Oh yeah, and a buy-one-get-one-free programme booklet. Hmm.

Us: "How much?"
Person: "It's two bucks for one."
Us: "Uhhh..."
Person: "Eh nevermind it's buy one get one free!"

HMM.

And yes, watching a play in the park is fun! Especially a very modern adaptation of midsummer night's dream :D Splendid props! Wonderful lighting! Lion dances! Sexual innuendo! Shakespeare must be delighted, tsktsk dirty mind of his.

Quote, "food, laughter and sex!"

Next day, had to rush over to the arts media camp which we, uh, expected more of. Three days two nights at Innova jc which I unfortunately have never heard of before this camp and was frantically smsing everyone at about 8am asking about the location. Hey, but the facilitators/exco were quite bonded-- I like their spirit of togetherness! And it would be quite a fun jc to be at I guess; they look as though they have a lot of those new media activities stuff.

Let's just say it was a mix of schools across Singapore (and we happen to be the VERY RARE oldest because every sane sec four was smart enough to stay at home had to study for 'O' levels awww) and uh sometimes you get the feeling that you don't have much in common with the rest of them. Like this,

-wow ever so cool vulgarity spewing-
-a few girls giggle-
-me puzzles over whatever humour they see inside-

Then there were those periods where you would be doing nothing and my brain cells would just die of inactivity. I seriously suspect my IQ is going lower. IS IT POSSIBLE AH, IS IT IS IT! Someone tell me! Ohnoes.

But I rather enjoyed the courses-- HAHA WE ENDED UP WATCHING something we weren't really supposed to watch because a certain instructor thought we were jc students HAHAHA. It was quite a disturbing film great for film analysing courses but not a crowd pleaser definitely. You end up feeling really disconcerted and dizzy at the end of it because of all that camera revolving and montages etc. You can tell the director put a lot of thought inside.

I IS INSPIRED!

But of course you get those people who are all like "YAY TAKING DRUGS IS COOL" just for the sake of contradicting -.-

And I'm quite amazed at the level of rule-abiding-ness of some people in the course:
Instructor (before showing the film): "Or do you guys rather watch the whole thing?"
Me: "YES."
Instuctor (hesitates): "Uh, but it's R21..."
Me: "Haiyah nevermind lah just show!"
Girl behind me: -SHOCKED- "HUH WHY!"
Me: "Why not!"
Girl: "THERE MUST BE A REASON WHY IT'S R21 RIGHT!"

.......Okay.

(we ended up watching it anyway HAHA and guess what, it's forbidden in singapore! whoops.)

For the authorities, ALL CONTENT ABOVE IS FICTIONAL. YOU DID NOT READ ANYTHING REAL FROM HERE. NOTHING ABOVE I WROTE HAPPENED.

Dear lena puked out the entire contents of her stomach from the entire day in the middle of the night on the first night. This is roughly what happened at around four thirty on the first night:

Me -gets plodded-: huh so fast six thirty already??
Facilitator: Excuse me, can you please shift over? Your friend just puked.
Me: Huhuhuhuh -groggily starts shifting- -a few brain cells start waking up- HUH WHAT, WHAT FRIEND? -sits up- -sees leeqi- HUH WHAT.

-leeqi and I walk out of the hall to go find lena-
Me -sees her sitting on the stairs with some guy-

LET ME CLARIFY AT THIS POINT THAT I WASN'T WEARING MY GLASSES AND IT WAS FOUR THIRTY IN THE NIGHT OKAY. Therefore whatever thought process happened below wasn't my fault. yes.

Me: -thinks- WAH hiok so sweet, rush over at four thirty in the night upon hearing that lena puked!

-runs away to hide- HOI WHAT. NOT MY FAULT. HAHAHA

And then this is something that made leeqi and I rofl:

It turns out that the guy she was sitting with was a -rathercute- facilitator who, listen to this, asked for her (and only her) phone number on the second day AHEM AHEM. And dear lena was so MING not to tell him that SHE'S ALREADY TAKEN HAHAHA and instead gave him hers! So on the third day...

Us -asking leeqi's facil-: Eh how do we get to the MRT from here?
Longkang: -starts giving directions-
-rather cute facil spots lena-
Him: Bring them there lah!
Longkang: -hesitates- uh okay lemme get my stuff... Nevermind lah I bring!

In the end he ended up following as well HAHAHA. And leeqi and I, uh, being the very nice people that we were, decided that we shouldn't encourage lena in giving him false hope (plus running the risk of making her boyfriend jealous), therefore...

Us: LENA! WHERE'S YOUR BOYFRIEND! WHY ISN'T HE COMING! I thought he was coming to get you!
Leeqi: yah lor my handphone battery actually was FULL; you all talk talk talk until no more batt already!
Us: Your boyfriend very sweet leh, upon hearing you puked wanted to rush over!

-cute facil's face undergoes 180degree change-

awww. LENA SEE YOU GIVE HIM FALSE HOPE LAH! Tsk!
