Xing-ah-por, a small country the size of a dot on the world map, is one of the most successful countries in Asia! They rule in economy, and their cities are clean and safe!
I'm sure you all have heard this lots of times. Right, their government keeps harping on that, and using that as an excuse for everything. Oh, we are keeping you safe and secure, don't complain! You have this, you lose your economy, you lose your safe streets!
Oh yeah. Do you know that Xing-ah-por was ranked a sad 140th out of 167 countries in the World Press Freedom ranking? Oh, but actually it's good news! We improved from 147th last year!
"This index is largely based on a news media model that favours the press’s role of criticism and opposition (...) We have a different model in Singapore. It has been developed in particular circumstances and allows our media to contribute to our nation’s construction."That was a quote from the Information Minister about the low ranking of Xing-ah-por in the survey.
Yep, they are uniquely Xing-ah-por, can't expect them to conform to some western standards of what is freedom and what is not!
Reason for their low ranking, provided in

"...complete absence of independent newspapers, radio stations and TV stations, the application of prison sentences for press offences, media self-censorship and the opposition’s lack of access to the state media."
But no, they are Uniquely Xing-ah-por, so yeah, these things are just Western Standards of what freedom should be. But actually, in Xing-ah-por, they have lots of freedom!
In a certain prestigious school, three sec one students were caned for insulting their teacher. Other students were also warned off making negative comments about their teachers or school, and also, that they can trace all their smses and blogs.
But of course they don't need to make negative comments about anything, everything in Xing-ah-pore is fine! Perfect!

In USA, if school not happy with a student's blog, and punishes him,
