Where is the FREEDOM OF SPEECH?
Okay, since everyone's blogging about it, I shall join in the fun!
Maybe if enough people blog about this, the HIGHER authorities will finally take note and pay attention to us poor students whines.
FREEDOM OF SPEECH
Can anyone define what that is, exactly? Me, the stupid girl, shall go check it out in Wikipedia and hope it enlightens me.

Or maybe not. For this right doesn't seem to be available freely to us, judging by recent examples.
They say that freedom of speech is a RIGHT under Article 19 of Universal declaration of Human Rights, and is an INTEGRAL concept in MODERN LIBERAL democracies.
Does that mean that Singapore isn't a modern liberal democracy?
Of course not! Singapore is SO good! How can it not be a modern liberal democracy? *shocks*
Sadly, it doesn't seem to be showing that fact in recent examples -- the one, especially, of the suspension of the JC student bloggers who called the teacher a "frustrated old spinster" who "can't stand to see attractive girls".
Maybe the teacher is indeed a frustrated old spinster (disclaimer: I do not mean any offence whatsoever, in case somebody tries to sue or suspend me... I'M SO SCARED! better keep my mouth shut) since she can't even take a teeny weeny comment like that. I mean, denial means they have something to hide right? If it isn't true so zai4 yi4 for what?
And, excuse me, what does being scolded a "spinster" got to do with affecting her career? (school principal: Oh, she's a spinster! Cannot do well in my school, later affect my students' healthy way of dirty-minded thinking!)
If she left it there, maybe we'll think that the girl is being egocentrical. I mean, she calls herself ATTRACTIVE. But now that the school has suspended those people, others are thinking that the teacher is indeed a "spinster".
So now we should keep our mouths shut, and obey the gah-men and the higher authorities (if I recall, WE're the ones paying for their monthly salaries and yet WE can't even say anything about them).
I ask you ah, if people kept their mouths shut, where would the blacks be in USA today?
They would still be slaves for whites had the mighty Martin Luther King Jr not made his noble speech "I have a dream".
If people keep their mouths shut, would the world be aware of developed countries and the government's exploitation of Africa?
No, no, no. Definitely not. And what equals to keeping your mouth shut?
It equals to no improvement.
Is that what schools and our country want?
And still got side effects leh! Stifling our mouths will cause us to SWALLOW back our words, which leads to VENT-UP feelings, and what does that do?
Minor, you have psychological problems (which means you become crazy lah, in simpler terms!). Major? You KILL! Yes people, KILL!
You either kill yourself or you kill someone, and then there will be an increase in crime rates! Then what will happen to our
safe and
secure nation?
Then again, maybe that's what the nation's trying to do... after all, too little crimes liao mah, nothing to do, so anyhow take legal action against people who scold them!
What has happened to tolerance and forgiveness? The heart so xia2 zai3 one! How to be like the GREAT Kong Zi (ahem) with his GREAT values?
It's one thing to punish people who make racist remarks, it's another to punish people who makes negative comments of a teacher or of anyone else for that matter (specifically, not stereotyping or prejudice).
If that is the case, then people can all go to jail when they scold the gah-men. Bah.
Then the nation will all be in jail! Yay!
WE HAVE A RIGHT! A RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH!
Let's protest! "GO FOR THE RIGHT, NOT THE WRONG!" oops. that was lame...hee!
Where is our right to freedom of speeeeeech? (you know, from "Where is the LOVEEEEE")
And then we can make a musical: "Do you hear the people sing, singing the song of angry BLOGGERS? It is the music of the people who want their freedom of speech!"
