Suffocated
Oh, the blogosphere is seriously getting suffocating. People nowadays don't seem to be able to take jokes.
The Chinese High blog on studentssketchpad.com long ago has now been taken down due to a threat to sue them, as per my predictions.
What's
wrong with those people I wonder? Can't they take jokes? If they can't, they can simply
get out of the blog immediately. Do they have to deny us of entertainment pleasures? So now the funny lame blog is gone. Gone, disappeared, and left us with another funny blog less.
I feel choked, and I feel as though Singapore's blogosphere has wrapped itself around all of us, forcing us to conform to a standard where everything we say cannot concern other people. It's ironical in that sense that nothing interesting ever consists of yourself only firstly, and secondly nobody would be interested in hearing you ramble on about yourself.
Oh wait. You can't even talk about yourself. The Chinese High blog wasn't exactly talking about others and yet it got threatened. So what, I question, can we exactly talk about? Research methods? Or perhaps how the great scientists persevered and came up with great inventions? Oh, I know, about how the gah-men is so great!
Sue here sue there sue everywhere, go become lawyer lah everyone, surely got job one seeing that everybody wants to sue nowadays.
Consider the impossibility of a situation where nothing you say will offend anyone. If that person wants to be offended, rest assured he
will be offended, regardless of whatever you say unless you really went on about research methods (ie: First step, clean the microscope slides. Second step, put the microscope slides on the microscope. Third step, place the banana on the microscope slide. Fourth, smash the microscope against the wall and hope no one notices... oops.)
Actually I feel that ever since that break that Xiaxue had, her posts are... just not as good as before. Proves how one's style can actually change due to comments. The objective of blogging is not to please everyone, the objective is to vent out your feelings to a small audience (or big, in the case of some, but it isn't exactly their fault).
And somehow the latest post of studentssketchpad isn't exactly up to its previous standards either. I think the Chinese High blog really affected them. I mean, I think they might be blaming themselves partly as they advertised the blog on their blog.
Slander, prejudice, sendition -- whatever. Forget about getting any great literary awards for Singapore, there's no way we can get them with this.

Oh shit. Now this post has turned so serious, you all must be frowning away. Oh well. You can frown along with me... EOIs start on Monday, there's no cause for joy except for the fact that in another week our EOIs will be over, and then we shall be relieved of any torture whatsoever until the end of the year, for over 2 months.
