I JUST FINISHED THIS TOTALLY NICE AND SWEET AND FABULOUS NOVEL BY MEG CABOT GIVEN TO ME BY ANDREA AND IT WAS SO SO SO SO SO DAMN SWEEEEEEETTTT!
Ok ok I am babbling. I haven't touched a Meg Cabot book for months cos I got VERY tired of Princess diaries and Mia's SAME OLD problems -- her flat chest, her algebra teacher being her step father, her flunking algebra, her liking her best friend's brother... and it repeats over and over again in another book.
And since I haven't touched one of them for so long, I suppose this book becomes really nice.
I mean, Princess Diaries is nice alright, but reading the same old storyline over and over again makes you feel really bored. The first few books gave me this really sweet gooey feeling, but after awhile it got terribly boring. So I stopped reading her books for a LONG LONG time.
But Andrea gave me this book for my birthday, and therefore I decided to read it seeing that all my library books have been returned and I haven't gone to the library to borrow some more.
And yeah, the book has lots of witty jokes and a nice story line ending with a happy ending... (:
Though the story line's probably somewhat similar to Princess Diaries. It's still quite nice though!
Gives you this AWWWW feeling. SIGH. The title's "All American Girl" and it's about this girl Sam. Basically it's about this teenage romance story Meg Cabot's so famous for writing. Sigh... It does give you this gooey little feeling cos you can totally know what the character is feeling and you secretly hope for such an ending...
Sam + David, that's the couple in the book. Though I must admit, I like David's character better than I like Sam's. Sam's character is one that is a bit foreign to me -- she seems to be one of those uptight kind who's a little too sensitive about stuff. Oh well, at least they got together in the end just like everyone expected...
Sometimes it's just nice to have an ending whom everyone knows will happen.
Talking about this "AWWW" feeling, we have a real-life scenario right with us. (: Oh boy, I hope Hui Min NEVER reads this, she's so gonna kill me if she does.
HUI MIN + QI WEN!!!
QI WEN THE QI ER (penguin in chinese), QI WEN THE QI ER...
Though Qi Wen's 3 years younger than her, we totally don't mind cos there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with this. (x
Qi Wen is, by the way, Wei Xia's brother, and therefore Wei Xia's gonna be her future sister-in-law.
I must say, at the tender age of 11, Qi Wen is already well-versed in the ways of wooing. He's SO sweet! Sigh... his sweet ways make me and Zhi Hua green with envy.
Meeting in Gun Bound, both of them striked it off immediately, having great conversations with each other and feeling a chemistry between them. And during that period, Hui Min was OBSESSED about Gun Bound, asking us to go play it ALL THE TIME. And I mean ALL THE TIME. But they soon regretted it, for Hui Min's friends got so tired of her persuading they all went to play Gun Bound, and soon there were lots of gooseberries sprouting out.
But no fear. To have more privacy, Hui Min and Qi Wen BOTH went off to play Maple story, and pretty soon Hui Min was going on about MapleStory ALL THE TIME AGAIN. Luckily for them, Hui Min's friends didn't seem as interested in MapleStory as in Gun Bound, probably due to them having learnt their lesson of being gooseberries.
And so they continued their uninterrupted sweet time with each other, with Qi Wen levelling up very quickly, and partying Hui Min to let her have exp.
So this is what they do: Hui Min stands at the side, watching Qi Wen kill horny mushrooms in three swipes while almost half of the exp from the horny mushroom goes to her. So THAT is the reason why she is levelling up so quickly.
Another reason is because she wants to catch up with her penguin, who is currently level 29, and we all know love is a POWERFUL motivation.
And one day, they are both gonna go Orbis for their honeymoon. WAHAHAHAHAHZ!
Although she vehemently denies any sort of attraction to Qi Wen and instead goes on about "MIE MIE MIE", we know that in her heart she knows who is likes.
And we, as her friends, are glad to see her back on the straight path. Boys are better for her than girls after all.
Yes, and that is the sweet sweet love story between both of them...
Can we keep our fingers crossed that Hui Min doesn't EVER feel like coming to my blog for a period of time until this post is successfully out of her range of seeing? Cos I have this feeling that if she sees this, she's SO GONNA kill me. And then you shall see my poor poor body along Orchard Road...and one day on their wedding they are gonna remember me for having predicted this so early, and mourn for me.
Sigh. How me and Zhi Hua wish we have someone like that in Maple story to help us level up... poor us don't have any additional help or motivation. )':
Go romance! For as long as there is life on earth, there will always be love and romance. Aww.
Let's PRAY that Hui Min doesn't read this EVER.
