the camp ended. too fast, in my opinion. it was really fun, I tell you. I can't wait for December when there's another ac debate camp again. I am
definitely going to go unless i can't make it, which i seriously hope not.
Today's second debate was damn funny, with an additional plus point that I didn't need to debate... haha. The motion was warped in the first place. It was "This House Believes That technology would rule the 21st century". I mean, OBVIOUSLY! We were proposition, so of course we had a case to talk about. The opp couldn't possibly have come up with anything! But they came up with something damn funny...
"The opposition believes that DAVID CRAWSHAW(you know, the one who was promoting the wristbands) should be the ruler of the world! Are you saying that a few pieces of scrap metal can beat him? He obviously has influence on the world! People are trying to imitate his style and his actions! He influenced 2.3 billion people in the world! Just go google his name, and you come up with millions of results!"
We rebutted them that a lot of people had influence too, and what did they say?
"Yes, we know that George Bush and Osama has a lot of influence, but to be a true ruler, you have to be all-rounded! David Crawshaw is all rounded! The problem with Osama is that he's damn ugly! But David crawshaw is undenibly hot! His charm makes numerous girls fall in love with him! If you were to sell David Crawshaw and a robot side by side, thousands and thousands of girls will flock over to buy him! And it's so obvious he's going into politics! A bonus fact is that he's half new zealander and half chinese... he can make bilateral ties between china and new zealand! Therefore, how can a few pieces of scrap metal compare to him?"

Oh yeah, on the first day we played a wacky game called, "If you love me, smile". A guy was supposed to say "If you love me, smile" to a girl and if the girl smiles, she has to do a forfeit. Otherwise, the guy has to do a forfeit. Of course, David Crawshaw had to be chosen...haha. and of course people chose susanna for him... Susanna refuses to smile, so what forfeit was he forced to do?
"If you love me, smile!"
HAHAHA... Can't wait 6 long months for the december debate camp!
